About Random Reflexions

This is my, Simon Shareef's, personal blog - a random collection of reflexions on life, society, politics, nation, science, religion and sometimes family. The blog plays two key roles for me: it provides a platform to express my opinions and improve writing skills.

It first saw light in November 2004 on the paid blogging service called Typepad. Back then it's title was The Finite Improbability Drive. The title was based on the Infinite Improbability Drive that Douglas Adams talks about in The Hitchhiker's Guide.

Shortly before the paid hosting expired it was moved to the my own domain at www.simonshareef.com conveniently tucked inside the folder /blog/. During this time the title of the blog was also changed to Ramdom Reflexions and several design changes ensued. The last of which has been online for a little less than a year.

The title "Random Reflexions" was chosen as it was seen to be much more fitting of my writings on the blog. And besides it was easier to say and remember.

On the 2nd of July 2007 it was moved to its own domain carrying the title of the blog at www.randomreflexions.com with several new enhancements and changes to the design.
