We all want change and anybody in his right mind won't vote for Maumoon. But flooding MvBlogs would be downright annoying.

An idea. I am sure that between all of us on blogosphere, facebook twitter, etc, we will have thousands of voting age Maldivians on our email contact lists. Why don't we all send an email to all our contacts :
1. Urging them to go out and vote, no matter hail or rain or long queues.
2. Vote for candidate No 2.
3. Lobby friends and family for the cause.
4. Call up at least two of their friends on voting day to make sure they vote.
5. Check their own house list when they go to vote to make sure there is no "virtual person" added to their list. Report to Alliance Complaints Office if they find any irregularities. This will reduce fraud.
Action, more than words, is what we need in the next 36 hours, I think.

There are no politicians among us, standing for change, united for change; there are only true heroes-Maldivian heroes.
None of these people graduated from Political Academies or Universities with higher degrees in Political Sciences nor do they have 30years of experience in the field, most of these people grew up in an oppressed society where so much as freedom of speech is not just condemned but a silent criminal offence punishable under an unwritten law.
Hence their statements may not always be politically correct but keep in mind their statements are the ones made from the bottom of the heart – the brutal truth that is so agonizing that we often choose to ignore….. Every one of us standing for Change Today is going to be written in the History as True Heroes of our Country.
It is time to believe….Believe, Hope, Change. Barack Obama said it best when he said “I am asking you to believe. Not just in my ability to bring about real change in Washington…I am asking to believe in yours”.
Maldivian sisters and brothers it is very natural to have these feelings of apprehension, anxiety and nervousness towards the unknown. This is a natural human response as we brace ourselves against any shift in life, especially when we have been trained to accept or rather forced to accept life the way it is for the past 30 years. But my dear sisters and brothers let us all unite and stand up to welcome the new Maldives, the Other Maldives and release the past agony with grace.
